Transform Your Home Into a Spa with Essential Oils

Modern life can be quite busy and stressful, leaving you little time to decompress. One of the most luxurious ways to relax is to go to a spa, but that’s not always financially feasible.

However, with the help of a few essential oils, you can recreate the spa experience at home for a fraction of the cost. Then you can treat yourself to a regular relaxation sessions whenever the need arises!

Soak Session

One of the easiest ways to start relaxing is by dimming the lights in your home and lighting some candles. Creating a relaxed mood will help you feel transported to your favorite spa. Once the lights are low, it’s time to run a hot bath. The warm water will help ease your aches and pains, and give you time to yourself to rest your mind.

But this isn’t going to be any ordinary bath. With the addition of Miracle Essential Oils, you can upgrade your soak session to spa level. All you need is 4-6 drops of your favorite oil, which you then add to the warm bath water. Try adding Lavender, one of the best known and loved essential oils available. Once you’ve spent some time unwinding in the warm water, letting your body and mind relax, you’ll realize the spa whirlpool has nothing on your bathroom.

Destress with Scents

Another simple way to create a spa-like atmosphere at home and reap the benefits of essential oils is by using the Miracle Ultrasonic Diffuser in conjunction with some soothing oils.

Using the diffuser will help your skin stay hydrated and is best used during winter months, when coughs and congestion are rampant. Try adding a few drops of DeStress to the diffuser after a tough day at work to help you unwind or add some Rejunvenate when you want to relax while getting invigorated (perfect before a holiday party). Infusing your home with fresh, beautiful scents can create a soothing atmosphere that promotes rest and relaxation.

Make Your Own Massage Oil

If you have a partner or friend to enlist in your spa experience, one of the most fun things to recreate at home is a massage. Use a carrier oil, which is pressed from an area of a plant without strong aromas, like Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil or Olive Oil, to make your own massage oil.

Just take some of your favorite carrier oil—coconut is one of the most popular, plus it smells great and has superb moisturizing properties—and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Eucalyptus and Lavender are recommended pairings for coconut oil. Then use the mixture to do self-massage or take turns getting and giving massages with your partner. This home treatment is sure to leave you feeling like you just left your favorite spa.

Scents for Sleep

Even if you don’t have time for a full bath or massage with essential oils, you can still take very simple steps to bring relaxation into your life every day and help you sleep.

Add 2-3 drops of essential oils to your pillow before bed and inhale the calming scents as you drift off into a deep, restorative sleep. For this, try the Sleep essential oil, which combines a variety of oils to create an aroma that may help you get the rest you deserve.

The next time you’re craving a spa day, try to recreate the experience at home with essential oils in your bath, massage oil, infused into your air and on your pillow. You’ll have a better chance to end up relaxed, rested and restored!
