While many may think that it’s easier to go to the mall and grab a quick gift, that’s not always the case. By now, shops will be full with people, so holiday shopping would be spent finding parking and waiting in lines, even before you’ve found the perfect gift.

That’s why homemade gifts relieve you from the stress of holiday shopping and give you a feeling of accomplishment after you’ve completed your projects. These last-minute gifts also give the gift of essential oils that will benefit the loved ones in your life with its powerful properties.

Here are the best easy, last-minute stocking stuffer gifts that you can make at home:

Oil-Infused Lip Balm

A perfect gift for various loved ones in your life, this lip balm can easily be made in bulk for co-workers or other acquaintances. Along with the fresh scent of lemon, anyone on your gift list will love this homemade recipe.

What You’ll Need:


  1. In a small pan, add an inch of water and turn on stove to medium heat.
  2. Place a small jar in the water, but make sure no water gets inside the jar.
  3. Place all ingredients except the essential oils inside the glass jar and slowly melt.
  4. When all ingredients are melted, stir well and turn off heat, but leave jar in the water to keep warm.
  5. Stir in the essential oils.
  6. Use a glass dropper to quickly fill the containers. Leave the jar in the water, but turn off the heat to keep the ingredients in its liquid form.
  7. As the mixture settles, re-top the containers after about 2 minutes as they start to harden.
  8. Let sit without touching for several hours or until completely hardened.
  9. Store in a cool dry place.

The recipe requires only four ingredients and the instructions are crazy simple that you might have enough time to make a little extra for yourself!

Homemade Whipped Body Butter

By making your own body butter for the family member or friend in your life, you’ll be giving the most natural gift they’ll receive all year. By cutting out unnecessary chemicals, this body butter recipe helps soothe dry skin and the lavender oil will give the butter a lovely, refreshing smell.

What You’ll Need

  • 1/2 cup Shea Butter
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Butter
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 cup light oil (like almond, jajoba or olive)
  • 20 drops of lavender oil


  1. In a glass bowl, combine all ingredients except essential oils.
  2. Bring to medium heat and stir constantly until all ingredients are melted.
  3. Remove the mixture from heat, drop in your essential oils, and let the mixture cool.
  4. Move to fridge and let cool another 1 hour, so the mixture hardens.
  5. Use a hand mixer to whip for 10 minutes or until fluffy.
  6. Return to fridge for 10-15 minutes to set.
  7. Store in a glass jar with a lid.
